Privacy Policy

LeadScoutr ("we", "our", or "us") operates the LeadScoutr web application at leadscoutr.net and the LeadScoutr Chrome Extension. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use LeadScoutr:

• Account information: Email address and password (encrypted) when you create an account
• Configuration data: Scout Profile settings, keyword groups, and community URLs you add to your account
• API keys: OpenAI or Anthropic API keys you provide are stored encrypted and used solely to score leads on your behalf
• Reddit credentials: Reddit Client ID and Secret you optionally provide, stored encrypted, used only to fetch posts from subreddits you select
• Lead data: Posts detected as buying signals, including post content, author username, post URL, and AI-generated scores and openers
• Usage data: Plan type, feature usage, and scan activity for billing and product improvement

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide the LeadScoutr service — detecting buying signals in communities you select
• To process payments via Stripe (we never store card numbers)
• To enforce plan limits and manage your subscription
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset)
• To improve the product based on aggregate usage patterns

3. Chrome Extension — Data Handling

The LeadScoutr Chrome Extension operates as follows:

• The extension reads posts from LinkedIn and Facebook group pages only when you actively trigger a scan
• Post content is sent to your own AI provider (OpenAI or Anthropic) using your own API key — not through LeadScoutr servers
• Qualifying leads are saved to your LeadScoutr account in Supabase
• The extension does not collect browsing history, track pages you visit, or operate in the background without your explicit action
• Your LeadScoutr login session is stored locally in Chrome's extension storage — it is not shared with any third party

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share data only with:

• Supabase: Database and authentication provider. Data stored in EU/US regions.
• Stripe: Payment processing. We share your email for billing purposes only.
• OpenAI / Anthropic: Your AI key is used to call their APIs with post content. This is governed by their respective privacy policies. LeadScoutr does not receive or store AI provider responses beyond what is needed to save your leads.
• Railway: Hosting provider for the Reddit monitoring service.

We do not share your Scout Profile, keywords, communities, or lead data with any third party for marketing or advertising purposes.

5. Data Security

• All API keys (AI, Reddit) are encrypted at rest in Supabase
• Passwords are hashed using bcrypt via Supabase Auth — we never store plaintext passwords
• All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS
• Row-Level Security (RLS) is enforced at the database level — users can only access their own data

6. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data including leads, configurations, and API keys is permanently deleted within 24 hours. You can request deletion at any time by contacting us.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access all data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Export your lead data
• Opt out of any non-essential communications

8. Third-Party Platforms

LeadScoutr monitors public posts on Reddit, LinkedIn, and Facebook. We read only publicly visible content on these platforms — we do not log into these platforms on your behalf or access private content. Use of the Chrome Extension to scan LinkedIn and Facebook groups requires you to be logged into those platforms in your own browser session.

9. Children's Privacy

LeadScoutr is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of LeadScoutr after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
